Ultimate NL’s Summer Clinics Coordinators keeping busy!

It’s been a busy summer for Ultimate NL’s Summer Clinics Coordinators, Will Kerr and Jayden Byrne.

Coordinators Will and Jayden have led over 20 clinics to date this summer, involving 639 participants from July 6 – August 17. And, with more clinics coming up in the month of August, by the end of the summer it is estimated that they will have completed 37 clinics.

“The clinics are being received well, and all of the kids are having a fantastic time learning about Ultimate, said Will Kerr, summer clinics coordinator. “Our focus on fun has also been very successful which shows because the kids are always participating with smiles on their faces.”

For Jayden, the summer clinics have gone even better than anticipated. “The kids greatly enjoyed learning about ultimate and playing lots of frisbee related games, said Jayden Byrne, summer clinics coordinator. “We were able to extend our reach further than in previous years so all in all a success for sure!”

Will and Jayden have lead clinics in St. John’s, Flatrock, Bay Roberts, Carbonear, Placentia, Clarenville. And, for the first time since Ultimate NL has been running the Summer Clinics Outreach Program, Will and Jayden had the pleasure of holding a clinic in Gander.

“To see our Summer Clinics Outreach Program reach the Gander area was a welcomed surprise,” said Nick House, president of Ultimate NL. “Both Will and Jayden have worked very hard to bring our sport to communities outside of the Avalon region. We’re happy to see that the program has once again continued to grow, and will grow as we look ahead to expand the program.”

Summer isn’t over yet! And, clinics are still being offered until the end of August. You can book a clinic with Will and Jayden at summerprograms@ultimatenl.ca.
