NL Teams at CUCs 2017

2017 marks the first time that NL has ever sent two teams to the national Canadian Ultimate Championships. This is a milestone that reflects the hard work of players and volunteers to grow the sport of ultimate frisbee in this province.

Tempest finished 1-1 on day 2 and 1-1 on day 3 to settle into 14th overall, finishing with our original ranking. This was Tempest’s first ever nationals and it won’t be their last!

Regiment finished off the Canadian Ultimate Championships in a strong fashion, winning both games easily to claim 13th spot. Unfortunately the weather forced the cancellation of the 9-12 bracket games. None the less a great first CUCs for the newly formed men’s team! Highlight: Regiment tied for most spirit points in the tournament!
