Ultimate NL SWASP Applicants
Ultimate NL is looking to hire a SWASP student for an 280 SWASP placement this summer.
Receive a cash stipend ($1,540, for 280 hours) dispersed periodically during the course of the placement period;
Receive a tuition voucher ($1,470, for 280 hours) to support and encourage the pursuit of post-secondary education and skills development.
DUTIES:
Online document management, data entry, social media and promotion.
Youth clinic coordinator (organize clinics, seek out clinic opportunities, document attendees/clinic overviews, develop clinic guidelines, follow-up with organizations for feedback), inventory management (ultimate kits for schools, clinic kits).
Event organization and promotion.
We are looking for 1-2 candidates. (we can apply for 2 positions if we want).
Media and computer skills an asset.
For clinic coordinator, the following qualities and qualifications are an asset:
-An in depth understanding of the sport of Ultimate
-NCCP training would be an asset
-A valid Driver’s License
-Experience and ability in completing basic paperwork and managing -hardcopy and digital information
-Experience in teaching or organizing children’s groups of all ages
-The ability to work independently and be proactive in searching for opportunities
-The ability to manage groups of volunteers and delegate work accordingly
All candidates will be required to submit to a background check by the RNC in order to apply.
ELIGIBILITY
Students must meet ALL these criteria:
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee under the Immigration Refugee Protection Act; and
Must be planning to attend a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the coming academic year; and
Must have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year; and
Must be between 15 and 30 years old (inclusive); and
May NOT hold another full-time job (30 hours per week or more) while on the SWASP placement; and
May NOT be attending classes full-time while on the SWASP placement.
