Tempest Shines at Montreal Jazz Tournament 2016

The Montreal Jazz Tournament took place June 11th and 12th 2016 with NL’s all women team participating. Here’s their tournament breakdown:

Tempest takes first game against 8th seeded Amazones.
Tempest 15, Amizones 5

Tempest has close loss to Storm. Tempest had a really slow start and they took a substantial lead. Then they traded points and Tempest finally made a big comeback during the second half. Storm was seeded 3rd for the tournament.

Then our cross-over we played nebula and tempest won 13 to 5

Tempest was in the top 8 for Sunday.

Tempest played Qub and won 10-4. Very windy conditions (light NL breeze)! The win meant that they were on to the top 4!

Tempest lost to Stella 15-9. Stella played very well. Then a loss to eclipse 10-7, good game, they just got 2 upwind points to our 1. Tempest finished fourth overall which ties for the best performance by any NL team nationally to date.
