Tempest Comes 2nd At Chick N Run

Chick N Run, a women’s 4×4 indoor tournament, took place this past weekend in Halifax and Tempest was there to defend their 2016 title!

“Tempest finishes 4-0 on day 1 of Chick n Run! We played a different Young Guns team than we’re used to and won 54-4 and we had a great game against Goddisc and won 33-15. Shoutout to CMG on her Callahan and Erin on her layout D! All of our games were extremely spirited and we are thrilled with the work we put in. Looking forward to playing in the semis tomorrow morning!”

“Unfortunately, the finals did not work out in our favour. We started off slow but fought our way back from a little deficit and at the end of regulation time we were tied 23-23! On universe point, Twilight Sparkles scored to take the 2017 Chick n Run championship with a final score of 24-23. Congratulations, ladies!
Even though we didn’t defend our title, we are not one bit disappointed with the outcome of the tournament. Everyone’s fave Stef Walsh took away finals MVP – much deserved!!
Thank you so much to Alex for organizing and thanks to all of our opponents for being spirited and giving us a ton of great runs. It’s always so great to come up to Halifax for this tournament for some good competition!
