Northern Peninsula hosts first school regionals

Long Range Academy won the first SSNL Northern Peninsula Varsity Ultimate Tournament.

Long Range Academy in Cow Head claimed the first school banner in ultimate for the Northern Peninsula recently.

The school hosted the School Sport NL (SSNL) Northern Peninsula Varsity Ultimate Tournament on May 14. Three teams participated: Long Range Academy, Gros Morne Academy from Rocky Harbour, and Jakeman All Grade School from Trout River.

Long Range Academy was undefeated in the tournament. The team topped Gros Morne Academy 24-9 in the final.

Jakeman All Grade won the team sportsmanship banner.
