International Spirit of the Game (ISOTG) Day is coming up on Dec. 7, and Mile Zero Ultimate (MZU) is aiming to educate its members about the importance of Spirit of the Game.

On Dec. 2, board members spoke during spirit circles at each game to talk about spirit, what it is and why it’s important, and encouraged teams to think about their spirit as well as their opponents.

The board has also developed a handout that features highlights about how to embrace spirit and how to properly calculate spirit scores based on WFDF’s scoring system.

MZU is also running a contest with all players nominated as Most Spirited Player on Dec. 2 and Dec. 9 being entered into a draw to win $100. Half of the prize money will go towards a $50 gift card for the player, and half to a charity of the winner’s choice.

Thanks for helping to celebrate, ISOTG Day!
