MUTT earns best finish at CUUC

The Memorial Ultimate Touring Team (MUTT) earned its best-ever finish at the Canadian University Ultimate Championships (CUUC) in Brampton, ON from Oct. 12-14.
Nineteen players took part in the open division, where they finished ninth overall with a 6-3 record in CUUC’s tier two (the top eight teams compete in tier one). MUTT also placed second in spirit.
It’s the sixth year MUTT has participated in the tournament.

Day 1:
- Memorial vs. Western (W 9-5)
- Memorial vs. Waterloo A (L 8-11)
- Memorial vs. York (W 15-4)
Day 2:
- Memorial vs. McMaster B (W 15-2)
- Memorial vs. Algonquin (L 7-9)
- Memorial vs. Laval A (L 6-15)
- Memorial vs. Sherbrooke A (W 11-10)
Day 3:
- Memorial vs. Winnipeg (W 12-10)
- Memorial vs. UQAM (W 8-0)
This was the last CUUC for four players: Benjamin Dowden, Colin McDonell, Kurtis Thornhill and Luke Dyer. Dyer has captained the squad for the past four years.
