UNL is offering a FREE Adult Skill Clinic on May 19, 2025 at the Techniplex from 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Whether you’re just starting or looking to sharpen your skills, you can join us for this clinic designed specifically for mixed recreational players, including beginners and intermediates.

What You Can Expect

This adult clinic is all about helping you develop the fundamental skills to succeed on the field, while offering more advanced techniques for players looking to take their game to the next level.

Beginner Session: Perfect Your Basics

If you’re newer to ultimate or still finding your footing, the beginner session is a great place to start. During this session, we’ll focus on the key elements that form the foundation of the sport:

• Throwing: You’ll get an introduction to the two essential throws in ultimate—flicks and backhands. Learn how to grip, release, and perfect your technique so you can throw with confidence.
• Offense: We’ll introduce you to the concept of the vertical stack, a fundamental offensive formation that can help your team create space and improve your offensive flow.
• Defense: Defense is crucial to the game, and we’ll show you how to position yourself on the mark and apply force effectively, so you can challenge your opponent’s every move.

Intermediate Session: Take Your Skills to the Next Level

For players with some experience who are looking to step up their game, the intermediate session is designed to help you refine your skills and practice like a club player.

• Advanced Drills: Get hands-on with drills that focus on deep strikes, break-side throws, and cutting movements. These skills will help you make sharper, more dynamic plays on the field.
• Defensive Positioning: Improve your defensive abilities with more advanced techniques for positioning and strategy, helping you shut down your opponent’s offensive plays more effectively.
