2024 Ultimate NL Annual Award Recipients Recognized
Ultimate Newfoundland and Labrador is thrilled to announce the recipients of its 2024 Ultimate NL Awards. The awards were presented during an Awards and Volunteer Appreciation Celebration Gala on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Alt Hotel.
Every year Ultimate NL honours the exceptional individuals in our community because their skills, knowledge, and passion for the sport are so invaluable. The awards recognize not only the athletic excellence of those in the ultimate community, but also their leadership within the sport.
Eight of the nine awards were given at the discretion of the awards committee this year. The awards recognize achievements in the 2024 calendar year. The recipients are:
- Junior Female Athlete of the Year Award: Claire Fancey
- Junior Male Athlete of the Year Award: Ryan Coffin
- Justin Frampton Spirit of the Game Award: Joe Sismondo
- Female Athlete of the Year Award: Melissa Wheeler
- Male Athlete of the Year Award: Nick House
- Joe Coady Award: David Whitney-Brown
- Kristine Cadigan Award: Charlotte Leese
- Coach of the Year: Hilary Walsh
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate. We were honoured that this year, Joe Coady’s family were able to join us to present the Joe Coady Award.
