2022 Huckfest Tournament a phenomenal success!

Ultimate NL’s annual holiday Huckfest tournament was a phenomenal success for 2022!

The championship game of the tournament saw Team Blitzen coming out on top to take the 2022 Huckfest title! Team Comet earned a solid second place, with Team Dancer placing third for the tournament.

“Throughout the tournament, you could tell that tensions and spirits between players and teams were high with everyone on edge during each game!,” said Shannon Jones, Events Director with Ultimate NL. “The teams all had fun, congratulations to the top three!”

The turnout made the event one of the largest Huckfest tournaments to date with 92 players taking part making up 8 teams. The annual, fun holiday tournament saw participants don their finest green and red apparel to celebrate the holiday season in ultimate style.

“It was incredible to see that all players were decked out in Christmas colours,” said Shannon Jones. “It was such a large turn out and it went amazing.”

With a week to go before the tournament, Ultimate NL had already reached full registration numbers, with a waitlist of players wanting to participate in the tournament. “It was amazing to have such a positive response for this event from our community, especially since the last two HuckFest tournaments were unable to take place due to pandemic restrictions. We were really happy that we were able to get players off the waitlist and have them participate in one of our largest tournament showings ever,” said Melissa Wheeler, Vice President of Ultimate NL. “I’d also like to give a shout-out to our co-Tournament Directors, Shannon Jones and Jason Murphy who did a fantastic job!”
