UNL Board Member at National Conference

On May 5, Ultimate NL board member Kurtis Thornhill represented Ultimate Canada at Physical and Health Education Canada & Physical Education Special Interest Council 2017 National Conference. Along with Christiane Marceau – Programs Manager for Ultimate Canada – the two discussed with phys ed teacher across Canada the value in teaching Ultimate. Many topics were discussed, including Spirit of the Game, rules, and ways to teach Ultimate to different age groups. Pamphlets were given out on the mechanics of  basic and advanced throws.

Many phys ed teachers across Newfoundland visited the event, and expressed great interest in strengthening their local Ultimate programs. Ultimate NL will use this as an opportunity to help build Ultimate in their community.
