EOI: Bringing Elite Ultimate Expertise to Storm Junior Program

The 2026 Guest Coaching Program

At Ultimate NL, we believe that the best way to grow our sport and empower our athletes is to bring the world’s expertise right here to Newfoundland & Labrador. That’s why we’re excited to announce the 2026 Ultimate NL Guest Coaching Program. This program is a unique opportunity for local athletes and coaches to learn from some of the best in the game.

Why Guest Coaching?

Traditionally, athletes and coaches in NL have had to travel outside the province to access elite-level training and mentorship. This program flips the script by inviting accomplished guest coaches, those who have played, coached, and operated at the highest levels, to St. John’s. The mission? To deliver high-impact training sessions tailored to the needs of our local junior teams and to mentor our own coaching community.

What’s Involved?

Visiting coaches will spend at least two weekends (and the week in between) in St. John’s, working closely with each Storm Ultimate junior team (both open and women’s divisions) for two practices each. They’ll also run a U24 training session and offer sessions for other interested club teams and Memorial University squads. In total, coaches will lead 8–12 hours of practice with various groups, ensuring a broad and meaningful impact.

Each session will be carefully planned in collaboration with team leadership to ensure the content is relevant and valuable. For the U24 camp, guest coaches will design the on-field curriculum, while Ultimate NL handles logistics and registration.

Mentorship for Local Coaches

Beyond athlete development, this program is a mentorship opportunity for local coaches. By working alongside elite guest coaches, our coaches will gain new perspectives, strategies, and skills to bring back to their own teams.
