The ultimate elimination challenge

Get ready for a new, fun tournament to kick off the summer ultimate season!

Ultimate Newfoundland and Labrador will hold its first elimination 8s (Elimin8s)-style tournament on Saturday, June 8.

In Elimin8s, each team begins with eight players on the field. However, every time they score a point, they lose a player! The first team to score with only two players on the field wins. Because the scoring team is handicapped with each point they score, blowouts are uncommon and games usually come down to the wire.

Teams are allowed to make substitutions between points, and gender balance is maintained at all times.

Format: Build It Yourself

  • Build your own team of eight to 12 players.
  • Teams may have a minimum of eight players if they commit to not forfeiting any games.
  • A maximum of 12 players per team is permitted.
  • Individuals may register and be assigned to a team that the board will build. (Details coming soon.)

Tournament Details:

  • Date: Saturday, June 8
